Schooner Creek Boat Works is looking for a Marine Electrician to join our team!
Summary:
The person in this position performs complex electrical service and repair tasks on boats, utilizing various power and hand tools, while meeting or beating budget and schedule. Ideal candidates would have the ability to install complete electrical systems. Work is completed under minimal supervision of a team leader or manager.
What You'll Do:

Install wiring, fixtures, and equipment for electrical service, motors, pumps, and switches.

Use power and hand tools, drills, saws, drill press, heat gun, soldering iron, multi-meter, wrenches, and test equipment for marine electrical applications.

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Wire and connect electrical systems, completing circuitry and testing systems using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.

Troubleshoot system problems and provide creative solutions for difficult system installations.

Drill holes in bulkhead and cabin to mount panels and fixtures.

Interpret work orders and plan projects to be completed.

Develop material lists for project completion.

May have client contact requiring customer service communication skills.

Follow defined instructions and procedures in the performance of tasks.

Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area.

Perform work to quality standards.

Perform other related duties as necessary and assigned.
What You Bring:
-
Vocational/technical school degree/certification; Boat Building, Military Trade, or Electrical Apprenticeship; High School Diploma or Equivalent.

ABYC Certification preferred.

Basic computer skills, 1-year electrical background.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Full-time, Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
