Team O'Neill 65' Morrelli and Melvin Catamaran.

Updated: Sep 16

The O'Neill Family commissioned a new Team O'Neill catamaran for their sea education program, O'Neill Sea Odyssey (OSO), and their charter company in Santa Cruz, CA, O'Neill Yacht Charters. The catamaran launched July 27th, 2018. Morrelli and Melvin designed the custom catamaran in 2016 and Schooner Creek Boat Works constructed it. The vessel is powered by two 125 hp John Deere engines and is outfitted with Ullman sails. She is rigged with a Ballenger spar and all-electric Harken winches, and has retractable dagger boards. Onboard there is a closed cabin with indoor seating, a kitchen/bar, four bathrooms, and two bedrooms. On deck there are two trampolines, access to crew quarters, and an aft salon with additional seating. Founder Jack O'Neill's legacy, to educate the public on the ocean and how to care for it, will be fulfilled on the new Team O'Neill catamaran.
